The best Atari 2600 is back, and better
then ever! Believe it or not Pitfall II is now playable! Other
additions include: Sound works under Win95, support for real
atari joysticks , ALL bankswitch modes implemented, super charger
multiload support, accurate palette, and much more! Besure to
read the docs. The Pitfall II image MUST be 10,495 bytes in size.
Not the typical 8192 bytes image floating around. Version 2.0b is
just more bug fixes. You can also download the other color pallete (inline with Stella), by Israel Geron T.
> Stella[DOS]:

The speed is improved in this version,
although a lot of games were still slow on my P90, Starpath
supercharger is now supported, VCS files can be combined into 1
single property file, and various TIA improvements.
> Stella[Windows95]:
stelw07a.zip | 133k | V0.7a | Jeff Miller
Stella Windows port.
> VCS 2600:
vcs2600.zip | 234k | 7th Release | Thomas Djafari
This emulator was once the big hope of the
2600 emulation scene, before Stella and PC Atari showed up. It is
fast, as it is coded in pure assembly and it even has accurate
sound. Unfortunatley it lacks collision detection, making the
majority of the games unplayable. Some do work however, such as
Real Sports Football. Besure to unzip with -d option.

This is the first Atari 2600 emulator for
DOS, based on the original code of X2600 by ALex Hornby. This
emulator is slow, and has no sound.
